Disasters causes the complete shut down
of the System that affects day to day working of any organization. Precautionary steps are taken to save damages due to disaster are called disaster prevention . A disaster is defined as a sudden misfortune. There are two types of disaster .
Two types of disasters:-
One in which the information lost ,corrupted or deleted and if the network is functioning but the working of the organization fails . This is server disaster.
Other hand in second case there may not be loss of data information but there is no way to communication the required information to concerned person.
The network disaster have the ability to shut down the communication through out the network or an organization . So if network disaster occurs , even if your server is safe and functioning properly it becomes basically useless .You may think of a case of a network that connects you to internet and let that network fails because of the disaster . So network disaster harmful that affects the day to day working badly.
The main reasons that the communication problems as follows:-
Single point of failures
If you want to prevent the disaster the network management tools help you a lot but for recovery procedure it is best to start with cabling. The main problem can be the problems in cabling when a network disaster occurs . Most of the LANs use physical cables like metallic cables or fiber optic cables while the WAN uses radio wave or other wireless techniques for providing media . Obviously all
Your communication go through this media so a failure in the media obviously causes network disaster .
The main problems that may occur due to poor cabling are as follows:-
Slow network performance
Disconnections of users from services
Error in data packets during transmission
The network disaster recovery highly depends on the topology used . Some of the topology do a better job for recovery from the day to day problems of network. Various topologies used for network installation can be categorized as follows:-
