Faulty material Identification Using PLC



Abstract:

The project and implimentation mainly aims to establish a full automated industrial process. Power is not useful without control is a fact no one can deny it, so automatic control has played a vital role in the advance of engineering and science in addition to its extreme importance in space-vehicle systems, missile-guidance systems, aircraft-auto piloting systems, robotic systems and the like. It has become an important and integral part of modern manufacturing and industrial processes, for example: automatic control is essential in the control of machine tools in the manufacturing industries, it is also essential in such industrial applications.

In this project and implimentation we execute a full automation for a complicated industrial process taking into consideration all types of emergencies may take place which are distinguished by an alarm protection system which have different types of diagnostics alarms. We establish the hard ware plants and its simulation panels and perform its automation program using Crouzet PLC units. So we will illustrate our work in three main sections: the project and implimentation hardware, the project and implimentation simulation panels and the project and implimentation programming.

In this project and implimentation we are using conveyer belt for carrying the coal particles. When ever the conveyer belt will carry the coal particles, the sensor keep on monitoring the large coal particles. So when ever the large particles are detected automatically the remover or ejector will remove the large coal particles, for crushing purpose.

PLC:
We use CROUZET CD12 PLC in our project and implimentation using its ladder program and it is compact controller, It has a powerful range for small to medium size automation tasks, Space saving design, Short processing times (high processing speed) and large memory, Comprehensive range of basic features as well as remote, Local expandability with analog, digital and pulses inputs/outputs, Wide range of IEC standard functions and function blocks such as timers, counters and logic functions and Suitable for intelligence control that we need for the robot arms.

Sensors: We use a sensor to detect the large size coal particles .
DC motor: We use ONE DC motor for ejecting the large size coal particle and TWO DC motors for running the conveyer belt.
Power Supply: 24V DC
