hello,i m ASAD ali from i m electrical engineering final year student and i m intrusted in transformer so i want to go for some good project and implimentation about trasnformer
so please send me information about measurement of inrush current in transformer and how can i use it for the protection of distribution transformer by designing some relay or some thing else please give me good idea and tell me how i should start my project and implimentation i hope i ll get good and very usefull guide line from you sir.

thanks for start helping me but i m foucusing about formolas like if i m designing 100KVA transformer 11000/433 50 HZ so i want to know about it inrush current how much this transformer should take starting current

When a transformer is initially connected to a source of AC voltage, there may be a substantial surge of current through the primary winding called inrush current. This is analogous to the inrush current exhibited by an electric motor that is started up by sudden connection to a power source

i hope it will help
